Here in Spokane, we are lucky to have five amazing ski and snowboard resorts less than 2 hours away, but not everyone enjoys being outside in the frigid temperatures. Fortunately, there are lots of options for indoor activities in the Spokane area for those who like to stay warm. Looking to plan a fun night out with friends, or maybe a romantic date night? Check out some of our favorite activities to stay warm but still enjoy the winter months.
Did you know there are over 23 wineries, tasting rooms, and wine cellars in Spokane County!? Whether you are in Downtown Spokane, in the Valley, or out North there are many options for trying some delicious wine from wineries that are part of the Spokane Cork District. Santa’s Pub Hop and Holiday Wine Walk
You’ll have to bear the elements for a small amount of time while heading to Santa’s favorite beer and wine spots in this Pub Hop and Holiday Wine Walk. This is a perfect evening out for a group of friends or a fun night out with you and your partner. Don’t worry about hitting all these breweries in one night, this event goes through December 31st. Spokane Chiefs Hockey Game
It might only be a little warmer at a Spokane Chiefs hockey game but the energy during the game will warm your soul. If you haven’t attended a Chiefs game before this is an event you’ll want to add to your bucket list! The crowd in the stands makes these games unforgettable and will have you wanting to come back. Head to one of the many games for the Chiefs and support our local hockey team. Make sure you bring your hat and some hand warmers to keep warm while you watch the teams battle it out on the ice. Heading to a bowling alley on these snowy evenings is the perfect way to have fun with friends and family and stay out of the winter weather. It doesn’t matter where in Spokane you’re located, there are several options for bowling. If you are on the North side of Spokane head into Lilac Lanes and improve your bowling skills. They also have a small Casino in the building. Are you out in the valley? No worries, check out Valley Bowl located on Sprague Avenue. They have a café and lounge to relax in between sets. You can also check out Players & Spectators http://www.playersspectators.com/ that even has an arcade! Looking for something more central in town? You’ll want to head into North Bowl located on Sinto off Division.
