Hoopfest – June 24th-25th

Head to Downtown Spokane for the world’s largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament. This two-day basketball tournament takes up 42 blocks and hosts about 6,200 teams from around the United States and the globe. Whether you know someone competing in the tournament or you’re looking for something fun to do with friends or family, Hoopfest weekend is filled with excitement and fast-paced fun. Make sure you check out the Slam Dunk competition on Saturday morning to see some of the best athletes from the tournament fly through the air.

4th of July

Who doesn’t love the 4th of July? Spokane has MANY options for watching fireworks and hanging out with family and friends. You are sure to find a fireworks show no matter what part of town you are in. Check out a list of all the ways to celebrate the 4th of July in Spokane.

Riverfront Park: Head to Riverfront Park for the Spokane Symphony concert at 9 pm followed by a spectacular fireworks show at 10 pm. Seating for the concert is on a first-come-first-serve basis with blankets and lawn chairs permitted on the lawn.

Avista Stadium: This year the Spokane Indians are hosting the Everett AquaSox at Avista Stadium for an exciting baseball game followed by a one-of-a-kind fireworks show that you won’t want to miss. This game is perfect for families and friends to celebrate the 4th.

Liberty Lake Pavilion Park: The Liberty Lake Pavilion Park will be celebrating the 4th of July with a concert in the park starting at 7 pm followed by a fireworks show that will begin at 10 pm when the concert is over. Make sure to get your spot early for this family-friendly celebration.

Coeur d’Alene: 4th of July in Coeur d’Alene starts off with the American Heroes Parade downtown from 10 am to 1 pm, make sure to get your spot early if you’re wanting to sit and enjoy the many floats. Once the parade is over head to the city park to check out live music and booths set up in the park. End the day with the fireworks extravaganza over Coeur d’Alene Lake with an hour of amazing fireworks that light up the night sky.

Pig Out in the Park, August 30th – September 4th

Pig Out in the Park is a 6-day food and music festival in Riverfront Park with over 40 food booths and 85 concerts. This event has been around for forty years and has grown into the massive event we know today. Walk around Riverfront Park and enjoy a variety of foods while you listen to live music. Make sure to check out the adult-only beverage gardens for craft beer, wine, and spirits. Not only does Pig Out in the Park offer food, drinks, and music but they also have 35 public market booths. Pig Out in the Park is the perfect way to end the summer fun with family and friends.
